About the Role

The Payroll Officer is a part time (must work Tuesdays and Wednesdays), ongoing position based at RACR Deakin office.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, Payroll Officer is expected to process RACR payroll and associated transactions, data entry, record keeping and the on-going maintenance of RACR’s payroll system.

To be successful in this role, you are required to possess:

• Demonstrated experience in processing payroll, including end of financial year processing;

• Appropriate Financial/Accounting qualification;

• Demonstrated ability to apply current payroll related legislation;

• Well-developed numeracy skills;

• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment;

• Computer literacy with working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, the internet and payroll software with a high level of speed and accuracy;

• Well-developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders;

• Sound organisational and time management skills, complimented with initiative and enthusiasm; and

• Demonstrated experience in using iChris HR/Payroll software and MYOB financial software would be an added advantage.

Salary & Benefits

The salary on offer is $62,208.12 to $66,825.72 plus superannuation per annum for full time and PBI benefits. As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), RACR employees also receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities, thus significantly increasing the value of your take-home pay.

According to the RACR Enterprise Agreement, the successful candidate will have access to generous leave provisions, annual leave loading, and special paid leave during annual holiday shutdown period and flexible working arrangements.
