What are the Rural Support Services?

Relationships Australia Canberra & Region provides free rural outreach support to isolated and vulnerable people in the Wagga Wagga and surrounding areas.

Our Riverina office works with rural communities to provide services that meet community and family needs. Our vision is for Rural Communities which are strengthened, connected and resourced to enable building of respectful and supportive relationships.

Through our Rural Support services, we aim to:

  • Promote healthy family relationships by providing therapeutic services.
  • Engage with families and communities to reduce isolation.
  • Increase awareness of services, and facilitate access to appropriate services that meet community needs.
  • Provide a supportive safety network for families by developing and maintaining strong links to a range of social, educational, health and welfare services in the local community.
  • Build strong and resilient communities that support families and individuals through community capacity building activities.
