About the Role

Family Worker is a part time (3 days a week/0.6 FTE), fixed term position based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.

Reporting to the Family Referral Services Manager, the role of Family Worker is to assist in delivering quality services under the Family Referral Service (FRS) program by providing information, complex intake and screening, referrals and case coordination services to clients contacting the services of Relationships Australia and liaise with a wide range of external stakeholders to ensure strong referral pathways.

To be successful in this role, you are required to possess:

- A qualification in social welfare, or related discipline and/or relevant experience.

- Excellent observational, telephonic communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage and interact sensitively with a diverse range of people, particularly children.

- Demonstrated negotiation and advocacy skills to act on behalf of vulnerable clients and demonstrated ability to rapidly identify client needs, assess risk and prioritise accordingly.

Salary & Benefits

The salary on offer is in the range of $62,283.00 to $64,505.43 for full-time plus superannuation. As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), RACR employees also receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities, thus significantly increasing the value of your take-home pay.

According to the RACR Enterprise Agreement, the successful candidate will have access to generous leave provisions, annual leave loading, and special paid leave during annual holiday shutdown period and flexible working arrangements.
