About the Role

Family Advisor within our Family Referral Services program is a part time (3 days a week) ongoing position, operating from RACR Wagga Wagga office.

The role of the Family Advisor is to assist practitioners in delivering quality services to clients by providing information, intake, assessment, referrals and case coordination. They will also need to liaise with a wide range of external stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you are required to possess excellent observational, telephonic communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage and interact sensitively with a diverse range of people, particularly children, demonstrated negotiation and advocacy skills to act on behalf of vulnerable clients and demonstrated ability to rapidly identify client needs, assess risk and prioritise accordingly and demonstrated knowledge of services available to children and their families as well as demonstrated networking and relationship building skills. Qualification in social welfare, or related discipline and/or relevant experience would be an advantage.

Salary & Benefits

The salary on offer is in the range of $59,523.36 to $64,043.20 per annum, plus superannuation. As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), RACR employees also receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities, thus significantly increasing the value of your take-home pay.

According to the RACR Enterprise Agreement, the successful candidate will have access to generous leave provisions, annual leave loading, special paid leave during annual holiday shutdown period, and flexible working arrangements.
