Men's Behavioural Change Group

This program is designed for men who want to explore new and positive strategies for dealing with anger in their lives and relationships.
Sessions are run weekly for 12 consecutive weeks and are 2.5 hours long.  The program brings people together to:
  • Discuss issues of mutual concern, specifically anger, hostility and aggression;
  • assist participants in gaining an understanding of the ideas that restrict the possibility for change;
  • support men in their attempts to break with old patterns of thinking and acting;
  • encourage persistence to change in the face of obstacles and adversities;
  • extend solidarity to men who are taking responsibility for their beliefs and actions;
  • encourage understanding of the real consequences for others of anger and abuse; and
  • support men in their attempts to move their lives and relationships towards responsibility and respect.
