Support group for people impacted by problem gamblers

Having a family member or friend struggling with problem gambling can be stressful and exhausting. You care about this person and you want to help them, but this can be isolating for you, sometimes without the recognition from family, friends or even support services.

The ACT Gambling and Counselling Support Service is looking to run a regular support group for family members or others who are close to a problem gambler.

This group gives people a safe place to discuss what they are going through with others who are experiencing similar situations.

Research shows that people who are close to someone with a gambling problem might experience a range of emotional, psychological and financial effects. The AGCSS can help to work through any concerns, and connect to other services in your community as needed.

Please contact the AGCSS Co-ordinator on 6122 7170 or email agcss@racr.relationships.org.au to find out more.
